Nice! Thought you left the forums or sumtin. Well keep working, I will be checking this out often. :)

I might be a little slower, I'm in college now. ^^;

I'm actually on campus ... right now. o_o;

I'm going to try and see if I can make a trailer for the game.

I played the first game. Not bad at all. :) If this game turns out as good as the first or better, I'll play. I'm going to keep this thread on watch. Good luck with the project. :)

how did you make that mini trailer?

Photoshop, Imageready, and Windows Movie Maker.

I feel that this game is better than the original already, with a better (more standard however) puzzle system, "level" design, and a new, yet familiar feel.

It's a higher level of quality than the last game, I feel.

However, I am having trouble with the game becoming too difficult once you reach the third location in the game, which I am working on.

Brilliant, brilliant stuff.
The screens look very nice, I'm intrigued about the caves...
I've played the first, not all the way throuhg, but some, and I look forward to this one.
As for the trailer, I think some more in-game graphics would have been nice, but then again, it is only the first trailer, some more would be appreciated I think! :D
Overall, its shaping up to quite one hell of a game.

Wait 'till you find out whats after the caves. ;)

Or before them, for that matter. I don't think I'll be revealing what lies beyond them, so you'll have to play the game.

And soon I plan to release a new release of C1 again in which the storyline is more clear with the files and maybe some new files as well (files to read about the storyline of the game, such as the storybook notes).

Cool, I'd love to play it. I like the music aswell, I forgot to mention that. Its custom isn't it? I hope the music improves in C2 :)

The music is all made by me, so yes it is custom. I don't know if it's better or worse, really.

I've recently gotten the stun gun upgrade equipments to work, so things are really coming along. So far there are 3 areas, 4 if you count the time you spend around the city.

Each area, however, is longer than the first game in which you could progress from one area to the next very quickly.

I am planning 6 overall areas (not including the city), but this may change.

The plot and mythology of the game has become very complicated at this point, and I plan to fill in any loopholes and explain a lot of the events in the 1st game and why things happen - indirectly of course, I'm not just going to go out and give all the answers to you.

Not trying to intrude, but maybe include some random books as collectables or something. You know, or just leave them round in some certain empty rooms, or give them as items to players who complete an optional puzzle. These items when used could give the player some back story of C1. Just a thought, a nice one.
I can't wait for the music, and this game. Good luck!

Thats what I've already been doing since C1, so don't worry. :) Except in this game, I think there are going to be quite a few more.

I might release it's current form to a select few for testing, so.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this. :D
A few more would be required of course, and this I bet will come as good news to new players who might not have played C1.

Yeah, thanksgiving gave me the time to sit down and complete a whole new area, so now there are about 4 areas to the game. I'm working on a short area right now that will reveal a lot of the storyline regarding this particular game's plot.

Players will need to play both games for it to make sense, I think. Otherwise they'll be left in the dark. C2 is not meant in any way to be a standalone game.

I've added a locations information portion. All locations but 3 are complete as of now (as in they are fully playable).
