I'm starting to really like this template...

Just wondering if you were going to do emotions for the female template...

Anyway, I like those battlers. I'm fond of that simple chibi art style, reminds me of that Japanese Etolier site, the one with lots of chibi battlers...


So, I decide to try this out, and came up with this:

Something about the helmet bugs me...

groundyogre is already working on a sideview battler, and it seems not many people are interested in one actually. So I'll make an abs template, and art some battlers just because I feel like it. maybe do the sideview battler if more people want one.

@sasuke89: I'm not sure about your tileset, the dropshades are on the wrong side, and it's not 100% custom. I also want all the tilesets to be the same style, although I'm still finding out wich style that is going to be

Congrats GR, I might need to make a game in this style just because of that battler.

yay you guys like the battlers in fact this style does indeed look a bit like tori's stuff, you could use the battlebackgrounds she's doing, they'll fit in great with these monsters.

I LOVE seeing people sprite on my template ''and finish the sprites''
I also love the mega man armor king 108, try going for a slightly darker outline though. Maybe get rid of the solarspot on the helmet, or place it some pixels higher.

I love the faceset temp but I think the head should should be pushed forward alittle if you know what I mean. I dunno how to explain....

um... Right now it just doesn't look like his head is attached just right.

Wow, looking at these sprites on the DS. It looks like they totally belong here! (compliment) I compared them side by side with pokemon sprites, and I actually like yours more. Congrats. (phew~ that took a while to touch out into words.) (my seggestion, stay with the comp for serious internet useage.)

Also, something about his legs bug me. And, while testing it out, I noticed that when walking up and down, the sprite doesn't move up and down, looks kinda odd.


Anyway, this template is very easy to work with, and I'm currently working on a Megaman game and this style would work really well. I'm planning on doing Roll, Protoman, and some of the Robot Masters. I'll see how it works out...but thinking about it, I should make my own topic for my Megaman sprites, instead of trying to put too much of it in here.

yes it's real easy to sprite on imho, but you should really try a darker outline and the second and fourth frame on the down and up animation need to be put one pixel down when you sprite on the template.
