I think V2 is the best because of the outline, but it does kind of scare me on its own... it looks like that guy, -Bob Saget. Yech. But still, its amazing you made that! I wish I could do something like that.

I'd say I least like the third one, it seems like the head is way too big...

ok not to be the bearer of bad news here, but you're going to want at least 5 frames of animation on this or it's gonna look ridiculous(er)

Mascarpone's right, but don't let the extra frames get you down. I've done it myself and the result is definitely worth it. Especially since you can use scripting in RMXP to put the extra frames to use. Definitely worth trying out.

Sorry but that just came to my head when I saw it.
It looks really good, it has more frames than a normal sprite, which means awesome smooth animation, however, spriting on it is going to be time consuming, but still, it's a great template so far, my only critisism is that the head doesn't move enough, it looks too blockified, I think the black lines should be moved from the head, and possibly make it smaller.
Other than that, it's great !

I think your legs bow out a little too much and the knees don't bend at all, giving him a stilted/waddling sort of motion that you're probably not wanting.  Be careful to be gentle bending the knees or he'll look like he's marching, especially with that purposeful arm motion, though.  Also, his right arm shouldn't get so dark on the rear motion and his left arm might be a little too dark too, it's hard to tell in animation.  If you wouldn't mind posting a frame-by-frame it would be easier to look closely at.

If it weren't for the arms moving I'd swear he was riverdancing. Yeah gotta play with the legs a little more. I also think his shoulders are swinging way too much. Try making it more subtle. I think it's almost "over" animated.

Wider hips and more slender shoulders on the female will make it look a lot less like a skinny guy with a boob job.  Other than that it's terrifying and I will have nightmares, your template is so creepy ><  The animation is much better on the male now but it still seems like his shoulders and arms are flashing as he runs.  Also you pigeontoed him on the rear view, don't make his feet face inward so much and don't make his head bob back and forth on the side view if you can avoid it.  Looking good though.
