im really trying to draw at least once every day and your comments really help me
all of you are good at something or everything
even people who dont think they are good I still think you are great and you inspire me to try harder
so thanks everyone who has commented on my shit over the year or so
i really appreciate it tremendously and I have gotten better because of you guys

how come your e-drawing is super stylized and your pencil drawings aren't?
(i know, it's because of ctrl-z)

drawing a lot of hesitant lines doesn't ever get you anywhere besides fuzzy drawings.
they way i learned to make every line count is by drawing with ink instead of pencil, you can't erase ink, so every line has to be good. (or fixable)

I bought a sketchbook and some fineliners, and tried to practice with that (maybe it'll help you too)

well those pencil drawings are from over a year ago i dont think ive posted a pencil drawing in the last 6 months

but yeah, thats something ive been doing. I know i cant draw on the computer all the time so I usually draw with just a pen/pencil and paper. If I get a scanner Ill see if i can post some up.

And ive been working on trying to make less hesitant lines and im still not very good at it but I think im improving. Im going to practice using the pen technique more though. I gotta get my lines down better so I dont control_delete ever again. o;

reminds me of art from the abarat book series. anything with bacon is good! looks crazy! I expect more octopus!

Thanks mister Injury sir. I will have to do an octopus one of these days. Ive never seen the abarat books before, I will have to check them out.

Im not sure if I am crazy about the dual heads so I have the original.

You should put the normal face layer on top of 100 other faces in different colors/filters falling into the background. I still like the evil looking face. Its a darkness the image needed. Maybe mess with the lighting? idk

Glad to see you're experimenting with a lot of different stuff. The single-head looks much better to me, not so crazy about the copy+paste other one.

But it's great that you're getting a lot of cool results! Keep it up, man.

yeah, looking back at it now, I like the original single head a lot better and I really dont know why I did the dual heads. x:

yeah Ive been experimenting and stuff but I think this is the first piece where I moderately translated from brain to ink

thanks everyone ive really been practicing and really studying up on people and how to do certain things

Dev your sketches really help me learn how to block things better and Ive taken some of your techniques and tried to translate them. You probably cannot tell but thanks.

Anyways, it isnt the best piece in the world so I still have a lot of work
I mean now that I look back at it there are a million things I want to do differently x:

There will ALWAYS be improvements you think you can make in a painting. The key is learning when enough is enough, because it looks great as is. I think one of the most important things someone can learn in art is knowing when enough is enough. On some of my old paintings I'd revise things to death and ended up taking them too far
