So this topic is to help you get a better reputation?
Not exactly. More that I know there are a lot of people that are confused by my actions, opinions, etc. I'm not trying to look good or anything, but to explain things. I tend to expect people to know certain things about me, which isn't really fair. Hell, it might even hurt my reputation a little if you find the right questions to ask.
I personally don't, but my family has a dog, so he's sortof my pet when I'm home from college.
2. What is your favorite activity? Favorite television show?
Favorite activity: hanging out on irc. Favorite TV show: The L Word. I actually have more details about my top six TV shows
here.
3. What is your favorite color?
I can't really give an exact answer to this, since colors are really relative and based on how they're being used, what for, etc. So I'll answer it in the only way I know how.
I really love control, so I mostly play blue, but I've always loved black as well. Blue and black is actually my favorite combination. My current favorite top five decks that I'm using (of of 20 or so) are: blue/black, black, black, blue/red, black/green. I hope that clears it up a little.
4. How do you feel about the Bush Doctrine and Iraq War?
I've avoided a strong opinion on this for a long time. I don't hate Bush like a lot of people do. In fact, I pretty much go by the "if someone gets elected in the first place, they're going to be doing their best" state of mind. I'm not a big political person, and I don't really have any desire to be the president.
This doesn't mean I don't have opinions. Being patriotic as I've already said in this topic, I do vote, and I really am glad that I'm able to. America matters to me, but I think that after a president is in office, no matter whether I voted for or against him (I would have voted against Bush btw, if I could have voted at the time), he should really be supported (well maybe not him, but his decisions). He may not be making the same decisions you or I would make, but he's doing his best based on what he knows. I really don't like people who spend so much time bashing Bush, because he actually seems to be a decent guy (other than the gay-hate and religion, but hey that's not what we're talking about here).
I'm not pro-war, but I'm not against it either. I don't think it was necessary, but now that we're there, I definitely agree that we can't leave.
5. What are some of the most annoying things you have seen on this thread?
Probably the first reply about the child molester. I obviously haven't molested any children (yet).
6. Bee-ing en inglish mayjur, duz baad spilleng ennoy u?
Depends on the word. Typos and shit I'm fine and I make them myself all the time. Some misspellings are hilarious and I make them intentionally. In something that should be professional, though, like a completed game or something, it annoys me.
1. What is your plan to fix this(Since you are trying to fix this by being a mod)?
At this point, we're pretty lost. We're still working on enforcing rules and guidelines, and we really want to encourage criticism and feedback, detailed project posts, etc. From here on out, we've made lots of little changes and really, compared to how this place was, the forum has come very far. The next big step that I think will help the community is the main website.
2. Do you feel immaturity is the biggest problem with this forum?
Yes, but an overall sense of immaturity from the community, not really from any individual member.
3. Weren't you immature once? (Don't lie...)
You'd have to tell me what you mean by "immature". I can, however, safely say that there was a time in my life when I did not have pubic hair.
On the internet, I was
never immature in the way that members here are. There was a long time where, looking back on it now, I was really bad. But it wasn't anything like the kind of thing that I have a problem with this forum for. It's a yes and no. Obviously I was immature at times (even though maturity is relative), but I've never acted like the rmxp.org type of immaturity that I loathe.
--If yes: Does that lead you to feel that you should be sympathetic to the immature people on this forum?
Part of me is sympathetic. But that doesn't mean that I can't enforce rules and try to teach members how to be better.
My dog is barking...(Well not anymore, but I'm sure he'll do it again soon.) Would you...
A) Give him a treat. (It'll shut him up. But makes him more spoiled and expect food from you.)
B) Put the muzzle on him. (It will make him shut up. But might be cruel...)
C) Ignore him. (He'll bark until he is tired. But there is only so much barking you can take. And there is only so much barking your neighbor can take :/)
D) Put the leash on him and take him on a walk. (He'll shut up, get exercise, and come home tired; going to sleep. But you have to actually get up...)
I'd ignore him, and if he doesn't stop, yell at him to shut up. It's what I do with my dog.
