What's you're favorite Pokémon?
Impossible to say. I probably should have thought of a different question to put as an example. Drifblim is the first that springs to mind, but there are others.
From a design standpoint, I am a big fan of pokémon that use animals unexpectedly, for example Torkoal, which is a fire-type despite being a turtle, or Heracross, which is a fighting-type beetle. There are some pokémon that I really just adore for reasons that I can't really explain very well: usually these are just some that I find incredibly cute, like Corsola and Natu.
Battle-wise, I really like Venusaur and the role that he can play in a competitive team, and likewise I have recently really begun to like Cradily for the same reason. Shuckle is really cool as a specialty pokémon, and I absolutely love that Mr. Mime is decently powerful while looking so totally goofy. Lanturn has a great type combination that I have used really effectively in past competitive teams as well.
In addition, I love Gyarados if only because he's a staple for me. I've used him in every game, and he becomes the backbone of my team in the single-player main quest, in addition to being my surfer and strengther. I always catch a magikarp early for this reason. Hell, in my first play of blue I bought the magikarp from the guy in in the center by Mount Moon.
Mewtwo is my favorite legendary, and my favorite type in general is Poison.
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
I suck, I don't lick.
Without giving me the response of "This forum is for Americans", Why do you insist on abusing any post I make regardless of it having ANYTHING to do with my country?
For the most part, it's a gimmick that a lot of members unfortunately don't seem to get. I'm a pretty patriotic person, and it's become a personality quirk. Whenever I make fun of somebody for not being American, it's almost always a joke, since I don't
actually dislike people for such shallow reasons.
Also, Why do you tell GW members that you hate this community then carry on being a mod?
Because I do hate this community, and because I do hate this community. Does that make sense? This place has a lot of potential to improve, and if I'm not in a position of influence and power, it would be difficult to have a hand in pushing this place in the right direction.
Why do you refuse to upload my sponsor badge (that I paid money for) because it has the top of the union jack in it? I had to rely on shadow to do it for me, Isn't that a little pathetic?
I didn't refuse it seriously. I refused it as a joke, and actually had the page open to upload it for you. Your response on irc; something like "fine forget it, I'll ask shadow" was why I didn't bother to finish uploading it. It was a pretty unfortunate misunderstanding, and I'm able to suck it up and apologize for that. I wish you'd told me if you were legitimately upset, it wasn't really pleasant having to find out from shadow.
As an aside: you didn't pay money for a sponsorship tag. You donated money to support the site's hosting, we're not obligated to give any sponsors perks. We're not a for-profit organization, and we're not selling a service. This isn't directed at you particularly, a lot of people seem to be misinformed on this issue.
answer the question without any comical remarks. It's not hard.
I didn't, and I wasn't planning to. Our misunderstanding was one of the reasons I opened this topic to begin with.
I own Red, Yellow and Gold.
Then you have an idea at least that they're solid, good games. The biggest reason, if I had to give one, as to why I like the games is simply because I do. It just really appeals to my tastes. Following that, I can give some other more solid reasons:
- Replayability. It's possible to play each game multiple times and have a totally different experience, in terms of team-building etc. Some people don't really get it, but it appeals to me since I like being able to shape things. the game feels entirely different, for example, when you dump your starter as soon as you can and raise a equally-leveled, well-rounded team, than if you were to rely on an overpowered Blaziken for the entire game. But the choice is totally up to you.
- Lore and design. The Pokémon world is a great setting, and the concept of pokémon really just has amazing potential. There's so much depth to things that is only barely hinted at in the games themselves, and I really like being able to expand upon all the little facets and details that lots of people are obvlious to.
- The competitive game. Really, if you don't much about the Pokémon metagame, I'd suggest you look into it. It's probably one of the best, if not the best multiplayer games there is. The amount of depth and strategy required when playing against other experienced human beings is phenomenal.

I didn't even need the multiple choices for that one.
also what university do you go to/your major? Ive always wondered that about you.
Southern Connecticut State, and I'm currently majoring in English. I originally wanted to be a high school teachers, but after taking an introductory course, I learned how little control teachers have these days, and how horribly strict
curriculum is, to the point where teachers don't even have much freedom to plan their own lessons or teaching style. It was a big turn-off for me, even though I would still like to teach someday. For the time being, it's going to be a straight English degree, even though there's realistically not much I could do with it.
It's pretty small, I don't know the exact length because I haven't measured it in a long time. But I'm pretty open about this. I came to terms with my small dick a long time ago, and I'm actually sort of proud of the fact that I freely admit to it. A lot of guys are insecure about that kind of thing.
Another question. How'd you end up on RMXP?
The program or this website?
