Ahh... I googled it and I was amazed

but feel free to criticize on whatever you feel fit.

Also, the head shape is quite off...

Thank you and have a nice day!

It looks to me that you have taken the 'just start drawing' approach.
What i mean is, not taken the preliminary design steps.

I always try to draw a frame first (unless you've done it so many times that you just don't need to anymore) because it helps get everything in proportion.

To me, the jaw line is too wide and the eyes are too far apart.

I don't have a tablet to make changes like some of the others(though I wish i did!) so if anything isn't clear, let me know and I'll explain it for you.

move ears up. ears are level to the eye, sorta. i think ears should be bigger too

in terms of realism, maybe the neck should be a teensy bit wider. Maybe not, though, might just be my own.

larger forehead, larger cranium, etc. Check your forehead- you'll see the difference between your forehead and the pic's

Soemthing's off about the upper left (our left)of her head, where the hair thins down slightly as it curves through the front.

The left (our left) shoulder shouldn't curve down like that that fast. distance between the end of the shoulder and the head is somewhat one head.

The two strands of hair to the right/left of her head in front sorta makes her face roundish, cut off. Not sure exactly what you can do to help that; though i should say that frontview-wise, there's a small space from the ends of the eyes/eyebrows to the actual part where the head ends, if you understand what i';m saying.

Two strokes to mark out the collar bone needs to be readjusted.

This is all in response to how it should look "realistically" though. Pretty nice and clean artwork, though.

Ah, okay... I see... Yepp, that drawing is horrible

But I think I'm getting the hang of this new style from the book now, thanks for the feedback

It's supposed to be a ninja girl, but then the hair got colourful and it's a guy now haahah... And I have an attendancy to not draw the full head... I'm going to try and correct that problem.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Well I'm back to drawing... I've figured that I should get a tablet with my birthday money ($120 about) so are there any tablets recommended... I searched the Wacom ones, and the bamboo ones look like the ones Dadevester was talking about. So there are five, which ones, or suggest a different brand if there is a better cheaper one out there:
Bamboo
Bamboo pen
Bamboo touch
Bamboo fun
Bamboo craft

Thank you and have a nice day!

bamboo's okay. i got the bamboo fun, cte-450/s for a cheaper price of either 40-60 dollars (amazon, forgot exactly how much), and works alright to me. obviously, a higher pressure sensitivty, aka the ones that cost a fairer amount of money, works better for the artist, but seeing as i'm not anywhere near professional or super artistic, higher pressure sesenstiviity won't be that much of a difference for me. i'm only doing it as a hobby.
then again, having more powerful stuff works fine. i just got my version to work with photoshop last night, and it'd always worked with manga studio, so i'm quite happy with it. larger models are better, but i'm saving my money and getting used to good tablet usage before getting shit like intuos 4 gigantic sizes and stuff.

and happy birthday :toot:

Hehe, he means the birthday money from 9-10 months ago (I think).

And if you're going for realism, I'd recommend to stop highlighting as if the entire hair is one smooth surface when it's in clumps like that.

Daxis - I think I'll just stick with the $100 version because not all of the amazon tablets will be the same (from my limited knowledge).
Danyo34 - Yup, you're right, I just figured out what I was going to do with it actually. And as I told you before, I wanted to try and use a gradient to put in some shadows.

Thank you and have a nice day!
