kc green has also done bee power and horribleville which are some of his earlier works. gunshow is great because even when the joke is subpar the incredibly expressions and hilarious faces the guy draws still manage to
i've been an avid fan of ms paint adventures ever since problem sleuth started. hussie is a very cool guy in general and homestuck has been incredibly in terms of art, animation and music. the fact that this guy puts out several comics a day when most webcomics struggle to update three times a week speaks volumes about the kind of worker hussie is.
i've also been reading gunnerkrigg court for a couple of months now. it's got solid writing throughout and the art has been steadily improving since tom siddell started a few years back. it's very reminiscient of harry potter with the magical school setting but i love hp so i don't really mind.
nedroid seems to be kind of hit or miss for most people i talk to but it seems to always hit that very specific type of humour i'm very fond of. the art is simple most of the time but the author's use of line weight is masterful and brings everything to life with just a few strokes.
the abominable charles christopher has always been one of my favourite webcomics. it's drawn by a professional illustrator so of course the art is amazing. it's about the daily lives of a bunch of woodland critters but it's surprisingly emotional and touching at times, with mature themes such as abandonment and death. i mean, for crying out loud, even if you've never read the comic before you can't say this isn't the saddest thing you've ever seen!:
i have been neglecting to read hark! a vagrant and achewood for a while now and this thread has just reminded me to start reading them again.
