Age isn't an excuse for newbism!

Age is NOT an excuse for noobism. If your new, then your new. There's no argument there. Like Venetia said. Newbs make mistakes, but they can get over them, and overall their generally good contributors to the forums.

Noobs, When I say noob the name "Stryderblaze" comes to mind. Anybody remember him? He put up a bunch of projects up in the Early Projects section, and each one contained HORRENDOUS spelling errors, incoherent storylines, and nonsensical characters. And no matter what Atemu or any of the others said, He insisted that we were the ones in the wrong and that we were persecuting him. I think he used the fact that he was young or something to offset his problems. That's a classic noob. Newbs learn from their mistakes, Noobs keep on making them.

Offtopic: Elias (Or Cresten) is gonna be steamed if he sees this thread ...

LOL , OF COURSE AGE IS AN EXCUSE !
For I myself , I live in Belgium , Enlish isn't a main language heer and you only get enlishe when your 13 !
AND THATS ONLY BASIC ENLISH !
So , Age is defenly an excuse for bad grammer . ATLEAST if you live in a country where enlishe isn't a main language -.-

grammar punctuation and capitalization are overrated tbh

lets not associate being a jackass with not using those things kiddies :}

Uh, well ... If you don't know English well enough to keep up with other people speaking English, then ... Maybe try a board in your own language until you learn English well enough? I don't go to Spanish forums (for instance) and say "Hey ppl no sé el language-o de modo que traytez de AVERIGARR lo KUE estoy diciendo está OK??!!!!???!!"

I mean, we still have to read this crap. And I've seen a number of people with English as their second language who speak perfectly fine (such as Charlie Lee).

We were talking about age being an excuse to native-English-speakers.

I'm trying to do as best as possibel , I know my enlish isn't great but I do my best  ..
and  there aren't any good dutch RMXP forums to ask for help .

No no, that's fine, I'm just saying that this is about age not being an excuse to native English speakers. You're trying, and that's fine.

(Although I wouldn't complain if you cleaned up the spelling a little )

You dont believe Elias is that young?

And yeah, its "possible."
Doesnt your browser give you wiggly red lines under it?
That means you misspelled it. Right Click it.

Not all browsers come with spell check by default.  Some actually don't have spell check at all.  Firefox, for example, the spell check is an addon, one that doesn't come with the browser upon download, but one you have to actively get yourself.

I wouldn't even consider making spell check mandatory.  Having to go to spellcheck.org, installing a spellcheck on  your browser of choice (if it has one), or opening word or some other word program.  Typing out everything, check for red lines, check for green lines (and as far as I know firefox doesn't have a grammar check either), and correct.
If it's word/spellcheck.org go and copy all, cut, paste.  Blah.
Pointless.

That thing with the 13 year old not posting anything about his project was funny. I mean seriously? he didn't even read anything before he posted. My first post was about a script request and I was called a n00b,  and to this day I'm still searching for that guy .

With spelling errors and such, does anyone remember that project called exam fantasy posted by some chinese guy? That is an example of really bad english.

Age is not an excuse for noobism (note spelling). Everyone makes mistakes, but to continue making those same mistakes over and over after being helped and advised on where you're going wrong is not justifiable by anything more than stupidity or an unwillingness to learn.

I'm fifteen, but I still write to the same standards as most of the adults here, and I'd be offended if someone changed the rules for me because I was young.

Just my two cents.

Hey, Loofah, is this what you were looking for?

How to make a decent Request Topic
How to ask for help

You bump was beyond pointless and n00bish. If you are serious about getting your request filled, you would change your ways.

That's SephirothSpawn, THE coolest person on this site.
If he calls your request nooby, then it is.

And, ok, I concur. No one needs the spell check addon. Just get firefox 2.
Basically, I think if you make an occasional spelling error, or some that are close to the word, its not that bad.
But if you consistently misspell words in every post you make, then it gets a little annoying.

Yeah but that was a really good looking project and he tried his best.
I bet his english is better than your chinese.
That kid though...he just wasn't even trying...
