And over the time that hbgames has been shut down i've realized that i'd really like to go into the art industry for a living
Well that escalated quickly!! xP
What program did you use for this?.. Looks pretty nice.
NOW FOR WHAT YA WANTED.
I love the style you have going on in this piece, its the kind of style I've always wanted to achieve digitally, but never could.
But you're rather inconsistent; you got this amazing sketchy, rough style with nice colouring and shading. But as you near the face, you neaten up very suddenly, which makes the contrast of styles much more dire. I absolutely love the detailing on dress and body. Most the animals could use some work, especially the stag.
Which brings me nicely into the issues between the stag and the body of the female; the arm which is meant be resting upon the stag is anatomically wrong; too close to the torso with seemingly a lack of joint from the shoulder to the main body, which makes it appear to have a weird angle as well. Which brings me to the forearm; it goes a bit too thick as well as lacking proper definitions for being flopped over the back of the stag. Which in itself is an issue due to perspective between the two; the Stag is too far in the distance and too far to the right. A lot of the manga-face issue can be solved by simply drawing those eyes to a more realistic size, the rest of the face is pretty nice.
The cloud with eyes looks out of place though.I feel that could've been an amazing location to have a hole in the leaves with a few sun shafts shining through. I know I've given you a lot of criticism, but just work hand, you will improve. You won't notice; we're talking years here for significant differences. But with all the 'draw something old' meme-things on DevianrtArt, I have seen it time and time again where artists who work at it can become unbelievable artists, and you're on the right track.

As some other advice, I would research into the kind of things you would have to do in this industry, I would be very cautious of doing something you enjoy as a hobby, as your career path. I'm not saying it will be bad or nasty, just find out what it actually means to work in the industry; it might not be what you actually want. And you don't want your passion for it to be destroyed by a job.
