I got bored, and decided to do a light doodle without any proper planning beforehand... It was really fun, so I ended up deciding a serious attempt to coloring. I redid the face, and the head shape. I forgot about some frills and ruffles at the part around the neck where the shirt ended or began.

People have been telling me to go into realism, so I started, although it doesn't look good at all it's one of my firsts...

Looks like you have been improving zchin. The only suggestion I would have is to try a couple different size of lines when inking it for computer. Otherwise its totally great.

that bird is fucking awesome bro. he's adorable and has character and seems nicely plump in a way that gives him realistic depth. :rock:

the rest is your generic anime stuff that im not really going to comment on .

embrace your own STYLE man. stop trying to draw to some kind of standard set by this world we live in. you could be so much better than that anime stuff if you just free your mind a bit: you clearly have the ability because that bird is great. so buck up, champ, and let's kick this thing :box:

Guibid: I don't think i'll be able to incorporate the changing line width yet, but I'll keep it in mind.
Noise: Thanks, and I think I need to get better at drawing the standards before branching off to my own style.


I'm going to enter one of these into a contest... But I can't decide which one to enter... Mainly because I suck at picking colors and that could be a down if I entered the colored one. I think the non colored one looks more professional.

Both are good, but I think I like the non-colored one better.

Yeah I agree with Gubid, I like both of them but the black and white one is definitely the better of the two.

Welcome back Zchinny chin chin! I really like your last one, although you really should spend a lot more time on practicing on just lineart and proportions instead of coloring, you have the coloring part down, so you'd have more time to practice the lineart if you concentrated on that. Otherwise I notice a big improvement.

Ahh, thanks, I've been practicing line art and proportions up until now, but I doodled this up and decided to try and color it, so this one was the first I've tried to color seriously.

Okay, I edited the first post with some new stuff, as I will in the future and just post that I updated it.

So what do you think of the color scheme for this one, cause I'm having a hard time figuring out if I should continue with the cloak...

Okay, so I am pretty upset that I can't draw clean lines, so I decided to try a simple and small approach on a 100x100 canvas... The only things I can see wrong are possibly the background blue/white, but definitely the brownish frame any help on this?

Anyways I got bored sitting around all summer doing nothing so I drew this up, took place over two days and it's fanart I guess for vocaloid even though I don't really listen to that or even watch...
