I'm more pissed off by the fact that they're apparently allowed to do anything they want without giving reasons for it. Nobody should be given that sort of control. Like, I know 1984 comparisons get thrown around very liberally so I'm not about to go all Orwell here, but with protests erupting all across the US and seeing the ways that the police are given absolute control over everything... it's infuriating.united washcloth express":2t9185i4 said:To be fair, the guy in the video did get irate fairly quickly. At *any* border, people will randomly be questioned with specifics that are seen in the video. If you are entering a country you are not a citizen of, they want to know the specifics of a trip, down to every detail. It shows that you are entering for a reason. If a surveying officer notices anything strange, such as the guy laughing off the question when he said he didn't know, it is his job to hand it off to the next level.
They obviously knew the guy wasn't a threat to US security, and they obviously checked his car for contraband. That is why he was given so many chances and actually treated decently by the second officer. Does it suck that they had to go to the next level? Yeah. Unfortunately, the other alternative is open racial profiling, and that will not fly.
Though I will say that if he were Mexican, he could have entered the country illegally and saved himself plenty of time.

I'm sorry but we can no longer be friends...
Cow and Chicken was literally my childhood, along with Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, I Am Weasel/I R Baboon, and Ed, Edd n' Eddy
