Xp Games in Vista

I have a question. The tutorial for XP vs. Vista has to do with the actual game making program right? Or does it also include the actual completed games as well? I have a computer that uses Windows XP, and that is what I use to make my games, but my family computer uses Vista, and my little brother can not play the XP games because he keeps coming up with RGSS file error. We downloaded the RTP for XP so he could play them. Would your tutorial for fixing the actual game making program also work for the RTP, and if not, then how would I fix the RTP?

I don't know if the RTP requires certain compatabilities or not, but to make sure it always works I would advise removing the RTP entirely.

To do this:

1. Import all RTP graphics and sounds you will be using as if they are normal resources. (From C:\Programs\Common Files\ if I remember correctly)
2. Open the file game.ini and replace the "standard" with "" in RTP1=. (Something like that)

Then nobody will have to download the RTP to play your game.
