XP - Game.exe / Game.ini

For some reason Windows Backup never backed up the Game.exe and Game.ini files for any of my games. Although i can create a new game and copy the two files over to the old projects, does anyone know if i'm going to run into any problems doing this, or are all versions of the Game.exe and Game.ini the same (Other than game name in the .ini file)

Both should be exactly the same, so long as the same version was used (i.e. 1.02, 1.01, etc). If not then editting the game.ini file should work (where it says RGSS102E.dll or whatever).

The same version of RPG Maker? They were both made on the same version. Thanks for the answer
