Thanks to you, I've recently purchased a new XBOX360! Yesterday (Sunday), Raven came over and we went out to pick it up. We headed to Gamestop first. They had exactly what we needed.
Because I don't have a TV of my own in my dorm, we also got a VGA cable to hook it up to my computer monitor. The Gamestop salesperson also suggested that I preorder Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts (and get a free code to download the original on XBOX LIVE), but I declined. In retrospect, it probably would have been a good idea for the promotional code alone.
But we made the purchase and left Gamestop triumphant:

Drove back to my dorm to set up this beauty. I took it out of the bag and placed it on my desk, basking in its ethereal glow.

Because it's so rare that I have two objects of amazing beauty in my presence, I had to ask Raven to pose with it.

Following that, we had plenty of fun unpacking and setting it up. It all went very smooth (other than trying to get it work with my computer speakers, which we gave up on. The monitor has speakers on it which work just fine).

And finally, it was all set up. The system itself is neatly under my desk. We booted it up and after making a profile, decided to try it out. Browsed through the included demo games briefly before deciding to test out this baby with a classic:

Later that night, I downloaded Braid, and I'm in love with it so far, just like I guessed I would be. I also downloaded some Castlevania game just to use up the remaining points that I bought for Braid. It might have been better to save them, but whatever.
All in all, it was a pretty good day. MISSION SUCCESSFUL! Thanks RMXP.org!
