Hmmm...so that's why my first 360 failed after two days (being played almost non stop). Is this also the cause of the ring that appears around the edge of my games? My Superman Returns disc died really early in life, and Oblivion and Kameo are starting to gain the same ring Superman has...

So, is my fan helping? Or have I just not been playing enough, I've had my 360 a year and just recently was the only time I got concerned with it. My halo II makes it make a clickity sound now. But still works.

The ring happens if you put a disc in while the 360 is horizontal.

Max we know you love the PS3, but we don't see 360 fans spamming up PS3 threads because, well, it's fucking stupid. It's a console.

Anyway, Sony hardly have a much better track record. It took them 4 years to even fix the laser fault.

The bottom line? PC owns all consoles, combined. I actually think its funny, though, that so many people will pay so much money for a console, when a computer can do so much more, cost less in the long run, and not breakdown before a version ten-times better comes along

You try sitting down on a couch 10 feet away from large size TV eating snacks and playing on multi-player up to 16 people on a PC without a hassle. Consoles are plug and play, makes it easier in the long run, there are other benefits then multi-player but I don't want to go too off-topic.

I have an elite and i heard it runs a cooler prossesor or what not but i also have a cooling stand and will be purchusing the back kooling unit this month but i have never had problems with mine, the longest i have played is 28hrs should i worry?

the answer to that I'd guess would be both, and I dunno it's just the fact that you have to buy an add-on just to ensure your console runs, not exactly my cup of tea.

4 red lights all flashing, tried multiple AV Jacks and it still happens, its definitely a hardware issue!

It's really not so much that it's taking so long to fix it, it's the extremely high failure rate (people going through 2-10 x360s in a year?), the low quality of the customer service, and then, to top it all off, they're denying that the problem even exists.

Well, to be honest I'm glad I holded out for my PS3 and Wii and didn't squander any of my money on the 360, but hey Microsoft haven't completely fucked up, I mean at least 32bit vista works perfectly.....
