Sup;
You know... i've been posting on RMXP.org for about a year now (just within the last 2 months started posting regularly), and I realized I never did an introduction post.
Anyways, a few things about me if you cared to know:
I'm a 22 year old guy from South Jersey, just graduated with a B.S. in Biology, Pre-Med. In the midst of applying for med school. Was 6 credits away from a minor in philosophy, but I decided instead to bag it in order to take some music classes. More concerned about the actual experience than the title of "minor".
I'm a musician. I play guitar, mandolin, and bass and dabble in keys, cello, and harmonica (ha), but I primarily consider myself more of a songwriter than a bona-fide instrumentalist. I'm in a number of groups, my main band just disbanding about a month ago (tragic...). I'd love to get into the composing business for RMXP, but with my laptop shitting out and my lack of a good MIDI controller, that may still be a while.
Of course, I'm a gamer as well, playing mostly RPGs and Action/Adventures. My favorite platform has been and will always be Nintendo, but I'm not one to call out other systems for being shitty or whatever. Favorite game? Final Fantasy VI (of course).
The game I'm working on is actually my first, called "Super Quest Adventure". It was intended to be a joke for my friends (lots of inside jokes, humorous storyline). I may have been a bit over-ambitious, however; the game's approaching 3 hours and there's still no end in sight (sigh). I've kinda slowed down in the development as of late... studying for MCATs in August.
I am not a scripter, although I wish I knew how to do so. I'd love to be able to contribue more to the boards, but unfortunately I can't help much in this department. (Hopefully I'll get the ball rolling on my music)
Big baseball fan. Go Phillies!
Anyway, just saying hi to those who don't know me yet. Major props to the admins; this is a great board (only one that has held my attention) and really feels like a close-knit community.
Peace!
