Name: Joan Kallan
Joan is Hebrew for Gift From God
Kallan is Scandinavian for Flowing water.
Her name means Flowing gift of water from God

PROFILE
Lesbian Pirate Extraordinarie Her ship is named the "Iron Maiden" sprouting some of the best hardware money can buy. Her crew is loyal to her out of fear and respect.
Joan has not always been a pirate. She was a Nobel's daughter She was outcast for not wanting to marry a man. She fled with her child hood friend and servant, Hanna Hawk during an engagement ceremony. A distant and unlikeable relative had been watching and eventually caught up to them before anyone else. He liked Joan's spunk and gave her a map and wandered off.
Pawning off some trinkets she had she bought a small ship and her and Hanna sailed out to find fame and fortune.

Name: Hanna Hawk
Hanna is Sweedish for Gracious.
Hawk is a bird of prey.
Her name means "Gracious Bird of Prey"

PROFILE
Hanna is a close friend of Joan who ignores all of Joan's advances because she is well not interested Though Joan is mostly joking knowing perfectly well that her companion is straight. Hanna is a very loyal friend and finds she has to pull Joan out of trouble most of the time.

Name: Unncle Jack Kallan

PROFILE
He is not well liked by his family prefering to live his life as he wishes. They grudgingly allowed him to the engagement ceromony. When Joan flees he goes after her. He gives her a map and some moeny liking how she, like him, wants to live her life as she wants to.

STORY ARCS

First story arc – this consists of traveling out to sea and following the map.
Second story arc – this involves pirating around the coast to earn a reputation eventually meeting a king's daughter.
Third Story Arc – Attempting to gain the princess's hand in marriage by pretending to be a man with great gifts.
Fourth Story Arc – Being found out and put on trial as a demon seductress. The man she was going to wed tells her that if she marries him he will get her off trial.
Fifth to seventh - no clue


RANDOM
THe game will be low magic and not an epic story line. I really find too many games have epic storylines. There are a lot of good books, tv shows, and movies without epic storlines.

This is just a random idea I may or may not develop depending on help, interest (mine and other people's), and time. Keep in mind: this is not my main project, meerly an aside. Though it might take precedence depending on the above factors.

no not based on the webcomic lmao. despain gets 10 points for knowing about it. as the title states its a working title. ummm the pm was funny but like it was worth a laugh and thats it. I can not think of an equaly hillarious responce to it so there is no point in doing mroe than posting it which is basicaly a no but not nearly as funny.

Though on a more itneresting note, I will edit the topic constnatly as I change and flesh out the ideas. For those of you who want to, you can watch how an idea starts roughly and slowly gets meat on it with things getting tossed out and brought back. IT should be a learning experiance.

I actually had an idea about the main 'competition', since although most sailors think it's fool hardy to search for the end of the world, not all of them will. One in particular might be a female captain of Joan's aquiantance (sp?). A former lover? A girl she lead on but had no interest in? Her old standby ship mate before Hanna? Either way, this girl could be another pirate who cheats every what possible to thwart Joan and crew, or maybe an admiral in the country's navy who's trying to hide her sexual identity but is obsessed with busting Joan.

Just an idea, use it or don't. I think it would add a lot of room for hijinx.

Generally, whenever I've hit the wall with various parts of my body because I can't think up a name for something, I go to Seventh Sanctum. They have countless random generators for character names, discriptions, backgrounds, and settings.

Here's one that would probably help give you some ideas for Joan
