WIP New Game Hero

Oh forgot abut the recolor.. good point.. I'll have that put up sometime tonight.

Thanks for everyone's input, so I'ma now go with outlined chars, unoutlined recolored tilesets. ^_^

It's pretty nice! Good job! Though, I might suggest somehow fixing his shorts so it doesn't look like it's the back :).

Actually I meant to do that.. those are pockets located infront of his pant legs....

It's looking pretty good so far except for yeah the hair prob, also imo the short pockets don't look right, i think they would look better to the sides rather than the middle but that's just me.

Also his shirt should curve at the bottom, can't explain it well so i made a small example of what i'm trying to say, hope you don't mind me using your character.

But if you plan to keep the pockets on the center i suggest you do this to 'em, hope i helpd some.

Hmm... I'm thinking his shorts could use a little less saturation. They seem a bit bright to me. As for the pockets the problem is that they are directly in the middle of the pant leg instead of slightly on the side. Pockets on pants run so that the outer part of them (the side away from the zipper and center) is actually touching the side part of the hem. They need to be adjusted to the sides more and it won't look so "back"-ish like people are saying. They also need to be raised much more. Take a look at your own pair of jeans.

The waist area could use a little work. It's far too straight cut. There should a curve to help show the roundness of a human's form and such. It'll make him look less flat that way.

The spirite's hair needs adjusting a little bit too. The outline is blending in with it too much and makes it look a bit more thicker than it needs to be.

As far as the outlining goes. I dunno. The newest version looks nice but I'd keep adjusting the tileset a bit. Why not try it in stevo's and see how that looks hmm?

Hope that helps ya. :D

That's what i meant to say on the waist area :D , but it can be seen in the small example i showed, same for the pockets, I quickly sprited your character on my own temp to show how the hair should be more or less, hope that helps some on the hair area.

@Raven & FoN- I totally see what both you guys are saying... unfortunately I won't be able to work on em' today seeing as I have work, but when I get free time, I'll work on his sprite and surely post it here. I really do appreciate the awesome pointers and feedback!

Edit: FoN, I'm lovin' that sprite you made maaaan.
