[WIP] My Music

didn't know for sure where to post this so if this is wrong please move me, but:

i've been in to creating music for ages, and now i've got some equipment ready for anyone who needs it

here are some of my wips:

The first title screen one sounds very nice. The instruments are really high quality. It starts feeling like it'll fill out but remains a little empty throughout the piece. Still pretty nice though.

The town piece sounds like it's very specific. The drums sound to me to be really out of place. I thought maybe it was going to be a sort of tribal-themed song, but it isn’t. The song is very simple and sounds really nice, but I’d say to either lose or change the percussion to be much lighter.

The random title screen starts out very nicely. The drum roll really gets my attention... then the song completely changes... The rock part is out of place, and it sounds like an entirely different drum kit is being used. When the winds section comes in, it just sounds a bit inappropriate and repetitive. When the bass comes in again it fills out slightly... but the harmonies stray from and don’t compliment the melodies, which makes the song very awkward.

You’ve got some decent samples and soundfonts, and it sounds like these pieces have some potential. Sounds pretty cool, man. Keep working at it.

Yeah, well i'm used to creating hiphop music, so i've gotta ease down a bit with that rock part i guess...

Song One:
This one is particularly my favorite among the bunch. I like the strings, nice quality, beautiful sound. The tone is pretty hot as well.

Song Two:
Meh, I'm not to big of a fan of this one, the drums sound out of place. The piece just starts clashing eventually.

Song Three:
Again, clashing drums. The percussions lines are too hard, and the high strings are too repetitive. As Dox would say, they only pose a question, and have no answer.

I kinda like your style, seeing how we come from the same line music genre. I'm a hip hop artist/producer myself, but I've worked more on my orchestral and classical pieces and now instead of my hip hop influencing my classical it's the exact opposite.

I'd love to hear some of your hip hop beats as well, maybe via PM or something. I doubt anyone around the community is too much of a fan.

I agree with everyone else. Although I do like the drum beat in song 2 for some reason. Maybe changing the type of drum or bringing the volume down may help. I dunno. I'm not a music maker.
