[WIP][Demo] Final Fantasy 6 Tactics

What if you could play FF6, FFT style?
Im currently programming, in java, a game that will follow the story of FF6, however, gameplay experience, is gonna be FFT. So the player will navigate through the world with a "node" map, like in FFT, be shown part of the story in a cutsceen screen, edit and upgrade his party and then fight on a grid. While at first im gonna concentrate on remaking the main story exactly like FF6, i also thought about doing a Kefka campaign, with Kefka, Ultros, Chuppon, Vargas and Siegfried as the main party.

Ive currently programmed 95% of the functionnality of the combat screen, almost everything is there.
Which includes: the AI, status ailments, different abilities like Relm's Sketch, Setzer's Slot machine, Shadow's Interceptor. I also plan to do Dual / Triple Attack like in Chrono Trigger / Suikoden.

Im also currently ripping animations/sprites from FF6,im about 60% done with that. Here some examples:

What need to be done:
After i complete the combat screen and the ripping, theres gonna be "Edit your party/character" UI, the "node" map screen and finally the cutscene screen.

Options: First button will lead to a demo battle Ai vs Ai
Second, to a 1 Player Battle, Player vs Ai
Third, to the Scenario Editor
and the fourth to the Credits.

Note that my AI still contains some bugs and that its fairly complicated. So if you happen to notice one, and think you know exactly why, please tell me :P For example,one of my last issue was: If a character died from Poison, the next Ai character would try to move twice during his turn. Also, you can press 'D' to see the AI statistics.

Cool idea, and the FFVI graphics always look so pretty. When you say "play FFVI in the tactics style" does that mean you're implementing the game itself as it was, just with the tactics system around it? Sorry if I misunderstood but that sounds a great idea for a fangame.
