[WIP] Character Template

I guess I'll call this the: "LOH Template".
I'm currently working on a character template for my game.
I've been trying to mimic the sprites from the game,
The Legend of Heroes.

Of course, I'm not trying to get a complete copy of the sprites, but i'd like them to look a bit similar. So this is what I've made so far:

girls kinda looka bit too chunky, might slim it down some.
Im still working on it. Can't get on a computer with the programs i use. I got to use paint on a crap computer that can't open png files.

It's really cute. I don't like the nekid sprite (looks very ODD), but when it has clothes, it's really nice.

I love this to bits! And along the lines of what Rye said, It isn't very often you get a naked character in a game, so as long as it works with clothes ON...You're fine

But if you're very self critical, I'd advise you to just give the guy a waist of somekind :P

Interesting style, LOH always reminded me of Tales of Phantasia because of the char style. Definetly a good style to go with if you have similiar themes.

It is pretty similar isn style to the original. what differs though is the size. If you want to , you could take one of the screenshots of the original game, blow it up to RMXP dimentions then cut out the sprte and draw a new one compared to its size . It's just a suggestion though. I just think at the size it is now it just won't have the same presence as the original.

I think to help with some originality you should make your own palette or stick to the one from Legend of Hero's.

I really love it, its very well done and is very similar to the original..practically identical...when Mode 7 is fully functional you could practically make this game in the same graphics.

i dont think it will work with rtp that well, but tell me what you think. Even if it does fit, im going to use my own tilesets for this style.
