Willow Forest, Maple Forest

Wyatt is back with some more "things but wot look strikingly like other people's things".

This time it's willow trees, based loosely on Euphony's "Willowy Forest" tileset from a while back.

They are RTP edits, you should note they are in the pallette I made for my game and have a different shadow color, but if you really want to use them then you can recolour them to RTP colours, but that is up to you to do I'm 'fraid. They are also NOT LAID OUT IN TILESET FORMAT. This is because I made them for my game initially, not as a resource. They're here for C&C, but if you want to use them you can.

They are 100% my own work (as much as an RTP edit can be), hence based on Euphony's work not ripped off from Euphony's work.

The medium-sized tree didn't work out as well but I figured it still gave a unique twist to any forest, looks a lot more straggly than the neat and uniform RTP trees.

Free for use in free or commercial RMXP games, though please credit me if you use them as these were made for my game. Daniel, Wyatt, Dan Badger, or anything along those lines is fine. These are RTP edits plus some work, so obviously they can only be used in an RMXP game.

DO NOT POST THESE ELSEWHERE. I am an RMXP.org whore, not an every-rm-site-under-the-sun whore.

I recoloured these by hand, not hue adjustments :(

The trunks and shadows are to match what I use in my game. Both sets of trees use exactly the same trunk and shadow color.

Should I change the trunk colour on the maple trees? They do look a bit sort of... awkward there.

Maple trees, those are the green ones, right?

/has lived in the desert for almost a decade, forgets lots about these "tree" things

Sadly, I usually cream myself over desaturated palettes, but I wonder if you went a little too overboard with it? Also, the bottom green tree's shadow looks a little dense for such a scraggly thing. But no matter, I think these look fantastic. Really nice editing!

the brown tree looks like a mudpuddle because there's no contrast. also palettes are exciting when there are blends of colors.

like okay the "maple tree" or whatever, the dark shades in the palette are blue/teal, and the highlights are green/yellow. In your brown ... tree, it's brown and brown.

Blend some cool colors into the palette and increase the contrast and it will pop a lot more.

Also there's no shadows on the trunks, which the leaves/branches above would be casting.

You know, i think we learned something today! [/Southpark]
I know i'm going terribly offtopic but you have to excuse me for this one time _0_
