Why is/are racism/genaralizations/stereotypes so bothersome?

I think its come to the point where the supposed "Victims" are now racist. Is it really fair for me to be called a cracker, and nothing happens, but when I call someone chink, nigger, I'm jailed. Its come to a point where people get better treatment then others, and THAT is racist.

The term 'Nigger' has a history. No matter what, that term will always be more racist than the term 'chink or cracker'. It's not the stereotype, its the history behind it. If you're not black you WILL never understand. Heck i haven't got the slightest clue why they are being so sensitive about their race, but i accept it. Keep in mind that the blacks were slaves of the all mighty white people in the old days and that will leave a psychology scar probably forever.

Everyone is racist. Everyone. Even pastors or presidents or you. I hate it when people say they're not racist because that is untrue. When you see a white guy, you see a white guy. When you see a black guy, you see a black guy. You see an Asian, you see an Asian. You just don't see another person. You either see a black, asian or white person. Its normal, and there is nothing wrong with it. We were racist since thousands of years ago. There is however something wrong with extreme racism. When people say ' I want the world to be free of racists', they're saying 'i want the world to be free of extreme racist'.

@Alpharoth: How is simply seeing someone's skin color considered racist?  Recognizing that an individial is a member of a different race is not racism.  However, altering your actions towards the individual (whether positively of negatively) as a result of their race is, in my book, racism.

In the specific example of "hate speech", what do you think gives the words themselves the ability to impact a person.  Does the word "nigger" hold any special power, formed from centuries of racial tension?  Or is it the recepient of the word, the one, in this case, being called a "nigger", that allows himself to be affected by the word?

In my opinion, the latter is the most correct answer.

It's unconscious racism. For example- I, as an asian(though I'm very western cultured), has a disadvantage at finding work because 'mostly' there are one white person with the exact same skill and knowledge and he will normally get chosen. The boss's reason was because he is better than me.
So I continue to test this theory.

A white friend of mine and I applied at the same job position of the same company with nearly the same resume. We got interviewed and were asked the same question. We both talked about our answers and found out that we had the same answers(in a different context). Weeks later, he got chosen and I didn't. However i accepted this racism because I know that it is 'normal human prejudice', to be more comfortable with your own race.
This is not a rant about white people by the way, everyone does it. Asian, blacks, whites.

Like Chris Rock said= A Black C+ student can't own a company, but a white C+ student happens to be the president of the United states.

They're brought up to feel offended over stupid crap.

I'm somewhat rational for a girl. Sure I own alot of shoes. Sure I love to shop and yeah I definitely own alot of clothes. I get annoyed when people judge me over things they don't know ME for, even though I KNOW I fit the stereotype for a LOT of things lmao...

And Alpharoth  - You forgot the C+ president running the states was also a huge cokehead ;(
And yeah, I stereotype races too. I think asians are smarter, blacks are natural soldiers (Hell they've even got an extra muscle) and white people are somewhat in between.
