Why can the hero still move during a parallel process?

Everytime I make an event and put it on a parallel process and test my game, if I use the keys the Hero can move just after skipping a chat box and before another one comes up, why is this and can I stop it happening, will it happen if I publish the rpg?

Parallel Process runs in the background, so players and other events can still move around and interact.
If you want to have something start instantaneously, but still prohibit player movement, you can try one of these options.

1. Keep it on Parallel Process, and use "Set Move Route: Player (Repeat) Move Toward Player". At the end of the event, use a blank "Set Move Route: Player". I'm not sure if it works in VX, but you can give it a try. Note that other events will still be able to move if they're on custom movement.

2. Use Parallel Processing, and do the effects you want instantly. Then use self-switches to activate a new page. ("Control Self-Switch A = ON"). Create a second page (New Event Page) and check the Conditions box "Self-Switch A is ON." Now put it on Autorun, and do what you want from here.

If you need any further explanations just ask. Good luck with it patov2 :thumb:
