I can't do anything but spam, I mean seriously, at the time I didn't give a fuck since I was preoccupied with Pokémon, and seriously, what am I meant to say/do/feel? To be honest I didn't, and still don't care about it, I mean fuck, that's like asking if you care about the floodings in Pakistan...

Back on topic, I think that people don't realize enough that it's not the fact that people were dying and it wasn't your family so why should you care. The real thing is that it can happen again and it can happen to you. Should you give a fuck? Probably not, but I bet you will when the bomb blows off your mothers leg. Till then go live in your peaceful homes and do nothing about it, not like you can do anything about it anyway. But to sit here and say you don't care is pretty heartless and cold. I didn't mean I don't care about 9/11 - it was very shocking at the time and there was definately a great deal of panic about. I just didn't know or care what the "World Trade Centre" itself was (and Wikipedia still isn't very enlightening, just describing it as a complex of tall buildings). When they said a plane hit the pentagon and one was grounded that was aimed at the White House it seemed a lot more threatening, since well... I'd heard of those places. :x
The World Trade Center was established by the Port Authority in New York. It was a set of business trade buildings; the 'world' in the name likely just came from the original intent of the businesses leasing out the space being internationally relevant or of the businesses in the space being owned/operated both domestically and in foreign countries. There were several hundred+ that operated in the WTC in 2001 at the time of the attack and thousands of employees.

Third, assessinations and related things are as old as human are. You know that there is also a gigantic amount of related incidents that can happen again and can happen to you? They don't have nothing to do with USA, assassinations take place in the entire world. Will you say that you care for them all? No, you can't care for them all, not only because the amount is so hugh that you can't even think about them all, but also because many incidents aren't even publicy know, and even if you try to care for them all, you will just do nothing but waste your time and energy.

No really, I just made this thread for people who wanted to share their experiences and cared about it. I'm not butt hurt or anything I just don't want other people to come in here and think we are gonna debate whether it was an important enough event to even recognize anymore. If you want to do that, make your own thread, I would happily post in "9/11. Why should you care?" Topic.
Nah, I didn't pretend to make a serious post with my last post, only half serious. And yes, I do care about the topic as you mention, however I do not really care about the 9/11 event for reasons I said in the serious part of my last post, it's just "overrated" because it took place in USA and media did a really good job spreading news of the disaster (really good job taking into account that it was transmited live in many parts of the world). I'm not saying that it should be ignored, but it does not have anything in special compared to other incidents.

Nah I'm not taking it personally, it's alright. I do agree that it shouldn't have been broadcasted that much outside of the USA, cause it really has nothing to do with anybody else. It's like the News just really doesn't have anything to talk about so when something big happens, NEWS TIEM. The media really sucks, that's why I don't watch the news.
