Plus, thanks for all the responses, but I'm not really looking for a notebook. For browsing the interwebz, I've discovered that getting a refurbished laptop is probobly cheaper. Ebay is also a friend here, I discovered a HIGH spec desktop on it for under 299. >: ).

Laptops costlier, just get a desktop for better crap.

High Spec and Quality Parts are necessarily the same thing. You can have a cheap high spec computer made with low-grade crap hardware.
