What would you do if RMXP.ORG closed for good?

Seriously, this might be currently the best RM site, but life would go on, and there's always another one somewhere.

you just reminded me of my theory that rm* communities exist solely as fodder for bad rpgs. seriously, it's like the drama and shit that every rm* community goes through is STAGED/planned/scripted for later use in a "community game" or something.

Community games are fun for the community. They're just injokes, so not fun for people not in on them.


I still can't decide, since my last post, if I would be happy or sad if the site died. It is a fun hobby for me and I have some great friends here. On the other hand, I am starting to wonder if I will ever get free of the forum. It seems like I either have to keep updating it until there are only three people left checking the place, or I have to pass it on to someone else which I am not all that keen to do (LG started it, but it is my adopted baby now). I keep picturing my brain in a jar, plugging away at PHP four hundred years from now while Lapensee XXVII spams the place up.

if rmxp died....well first off, I'd probably try keep in contact with some people on here, to be honest this is probably the best online community ive been on (a reason why im a sponsor) and people just seem really friendly here, but if it were to die (pray it doesn't!) I'd still work on my game, try make it good enough for a commercial release, and then try restart the community.

I wouldn't go into shock and attempt suicide if this place died but it would be sad, I feel I've met a lot of cool people on here and I would definitely try and stay in contact with them.

Would probably just fully migrate over to mactiopia seeds with Mac and keep the "Give Johnny Clothes Appeal" open and running, then maybe open my own very unsuccessful forum with a free design and horrible garish colours which would have only one member, but I would be to ignorant to just let it die.

I'd like to think that if ERK did ever decide to leave here he wouldn't just drop the ball and bugger off like LG but pass the reigns over to someone else.
