What the hell? [Software Help]

So I got an update for Firefox 3.0.1 and my internet browser looks like shit. Not only is it slow to load [literally takes five minutes just to execute], but it also doesn't show many [if any] graphics, background color, or anything else of the sort. Basically, every page is white, with some icons and the text in a default black color. However, when I opened up Internet Explorer, it showed the same thing.

Which brought me to realize that it couldn't just be Firefox. I also remembered that I had installed a wireless network connection on my computer, allowing me to go a little ways away without having to have wires connected to my computer to go online. I'm wondering if this could be the problem, but when I disconnected the wireless network adapter and plugged it directly into the side of my laptop, everything was still the same. Could it be a virus or something?

It could be network software your wireless card installed. If it had some kind of bandwidth saver option it may have been set to block images; this is typical for cellular cards. Try uninstalling all the software you installed when you set up your wireless card and see what happens.

The point, I believe, is that the same things are happening in IE so firefox is obviously not the issue.
