What is your pen name?

I don't think I've mentioned it on this site yet, but I am an aspiring author, and I've just about wrapped up my first real story. I'm thinking about, considering it gets published at all, going under a pen name (just because I don't think anyone would take a book by a 16-year-old seriously). I can't decide on one though, and I figured I'd ask some other people for ideas. If you had a pen name/alias for any reason, what would it be?

I actually have a pen name :x
GUESS WHAT IT IS!!! :D

sixtyandaquarter

I publish my comic under the name, I don't remember how I got the name but I used to sign good sketches and drawings with "sadly enough 60 & 1/4" in a cool little way (cool for me at least) with the E in enough being rather large enough to cradle the 1/4 etc, so I started using it permanently.
Yeah I'm retarded like that.

The other one when I was younger was MKAYS or mKAYs, which is in a sense my initials, though I only used that in paintings because it was so much easier than my real signature or the 60.25 one.  Any nick name I've carried that seemed pretentious I used as a joke.

Oh... well then why would the name matter? I mean they wouldn't necessarily know you're 16 years old by seeing your name.

I personally do not use a pseudonym for authoring purposes, so I can't give much advice. If you do plan on using one, I would suggest something that really sticks out so people remember it, but nothing too outlandish or it may seem like you're trying a bit too hard.

Well I think a webcomic is fine for some really over the top name. For a product that would potentially be in a book store, however, you might want a more... believable name.

Well, honestly, if it's for online stuff, I never use my real name. Creepy stalker issues. Meh.
I instead use a name I got from a little while messing around with the Fake Identity Generator, so if you see James Blaise, that's me. But yeah, I'd caution against using anything too outlandish.

Bill Shakespeare. Also, Enid Blyton.

Nah, Wyatt Draegonhart. It's an RP name, and it kinda stuck.

I'm not in any way shape or form saying Eragon is a good book, but the guy who wrote it was like 15 or something.

Correction, he was 15 when he started writing it, 19 when published.

I myself use a pen name for ff.net "Darkfire - the Raven"
If and when I actually get published, I would use Michael Carlisle because it sounds better than any other combination of my three names.  Especially when considering that people tend to have a hard time spelling or pronouncing my last name.

All of my stuff is under "arcthemonkey", or simply "Tony".

If I ever wrote a book, I'd probably do it as "A. Laurence Foreman".

I mean, technically that is my real name, but I think it sounds more authery when written that way.

Mine is literally shiroun. I got it from my japanese friend awhile back, while we were joking around.

Something like,

"Ha, you sleeping?"
"Yep! It's hard to sleep with you talking tho. Tai Shiroun!" (Shutup White-one. I know Tai isn't technically meaning shutup, but its really informal and joking around.)

So..yea

I would probably just use my real name. I do have a pseudonym of Jason Steele, but I've never felt the need to use it for anything, which kind of renders it pointless...

Chimmy Ray, or simply Chimmy. I might have to come up with a slightly less outlandish pseudonym if I wanna move into the world of literature, but at the time being all I write is graffiti -- and I think Chimmy is a fine name to see on a wall somewhere accompanied by something strange in ink.

I've always used Axerax, always will. It comes from a character name I used in a really old game for my mage character. It simply stuck since then. I even use it on messengers.
