What is your favorite poem?

Enjoy poetry? Share some of your favorites, whether children's or adult's.

For me, Jack Prelutsky has always been one of my favorite children's poets, always combining wit and rhyme to create fantastic results. "Bleezer's Ice Cream" has to be one of his greatest works.

Some random poem I stumbled upon today is "Death of Dusk" by Mark R Slaughter. It has some pretty cool imagery going on.

Desesperate to forget its painful past...
Though we hope for promising years.
After shedding a thousand tears,
Yesterday's sorrow constantly nears.
