What does everyone think about Religion? and Science

Hello, People I have posted this to see what you all think of Religion... and Science
This Thread is for Why do you believe in this or that? Or why you believe in it?

I was raise in a Christian Family, But In christanity the "GOD" Never helped at all... When I was 10 my House burnt to the ground.... and before that I prayed Practily Every night... This however lessened my believes of Christanity. at the Age of 12 My mother turned Wicken... Which was annoying... She thought She was a Fucking Master at it after three or so days... And truth was, She was a Novice with books... lol

So My belives went toward the Northen Europe Pagan... So to this day I remain Norse Pagan which is believeing in Odin, Loki, Tyr, thor, etc.
And I am not a Comic book nerd so I did not turn to Odin and thor and crap because I thought it was cool....

I also know That Christianity is Stolen From Other Countries Lore.... Which is werid... noah did the same thing Gilgamesh in Japanese Lore did, The Parting of the Water All stolen from Japanese Lore... This is another Reason I do not believe in Christanity...

Does anyone agree with me on any Bases?

Your poll is poorly done. Science isn't a religion. It is a systematic way of poking things and seeing how they jiggle.

I am an atheist. As far as I am concerned, there is no good reason to follow any religion as none of the claims of any of them are verifiable.

I am not sure that there is something like a "god". But if there is it will not be like anything in any religion. I just don't believe that if there is a being that mighty, we could understand it.
So basically I believe whatever I want and no religion can change that.

On another note: You stated that you are annoyed on how christianity "stole" stuff from other religions/lore/ect. But that is nothing suprising. Whenever a new religion starts, it has to evolve from something that has been there before. So of course it will have stuff that the previous thing had. Also religions take those storys in, so that people from other religions/cultures who are to join it, have something they can relate to. This way it becomes easier to change to the new religion.

I am a christian. I believe based on my own life experiences, so you wouldn't understand why I believe in God and Jesus. But even if your not a christian, you could take a little something from the bible. Forget all the history BS in the bible for right now. That doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is love. That is what the bible is trying to get across. Period. The rest of the bible is used to show you lessons. Lessons on what happens when you put your faith in God and what happens when you stop following Him.

Basically the bible says love is the most powerful tool ever. If you can't grasp that, then your lost.

I also don't believe the bible came from other sources. It was written by some dumb ol Jews that followed Jesus and God. Then they magically all got wise and wrote a book that seems to stay pretty fluid throughout.

Personally I think Christianity as well as all other religions were forced on to people. I mean, religion offers answers to so many difficult questions like what happens to me when I die? And Why are we here? So all the people who believe in such a thing are just scared, they seek hope when all they are going to find is disappointment. We go in a hole when we die. We are here to make plastic as only humans do. See? Perfectly logical answers. They might not be as happy and positive as most religions, but at least its factual.

I believe that there is one god, and no religion is 'wrong' in the sense that one is more right than the other. I don't go to church or do good things, I just believe there might be a higher up power that has absolute no influence on our lives whatsoever.

I personally think this is a ridiculous reason, for one the Epic of Gilgamesh wasn't Japanese, I don't know where you got the parting of the sea from Japanese lore, but if you open your eyes you'll see that almost every single thing that you'll ever come into contact with now was taken from something else in the first place.
