What do you listen to when constructing your 'game'?

I usually just have itunes on shuffle... I find my best moments of inspiration though while listening to the electronic, electronica, instrumental, and emo genres. XD

It always depends on my mood. One day it can be Ayreon, then later I can switch to Necrophagist... You get the idea :) But I often listen to melodic/symphonic music.

(Didn't we had a topic like that before???)

since the genre fits it, ilisten to alot of rap when makin games.  Alot of people ay its only bout gunz, hoes, an killing, but tats only in certain sub-genres.
i've heard rock and country talking bout that too.

whenever i'm working on something serious i usually put on noise which i find helps me concentrate on creative things. <3 merzbox

when i'm just chillaxin' i usually listen to porcupine tree or i, mountain

I'm usually looking for tracks for my game, so I listen to stuff like Enya or The Venetian Snares.

Of course, if I come by the slight chance I get my music list done, I'll probably have Creed or Matchbox 20 playing.  It all depends, I guess.

Varies. Generally shuffle from some playlist. A solid beat is a must, however. Other than that, I don't really discriminate in terms of genre.

i love listening to keith olberman when i'm constructing tedious menus. 8D

i dont listen to music because i frequently 'test' while i'm coding/whatever. then the bgm kicks in while the music is playing, and yaddayaddayadda

I listen to whatever tracks I want to put in my game... whenever I am music searching for files to put in, I will preview it from start to finish...

Rarely do I actually have sound on when mapping, eventing, scripting and such like (need to concentrate, man!) but I find it quite relaxing and spiriting to listen to Rock when plotting and writing story related events up on paper.

Strangely, I find it even works when one is doing something totally unrelated, like a romance scene or something... bizarre, huh?

I listen to whatever MIDI I have that relates to whatever it is I'm working on.

Some of these I've been listening to for 8 years!  Damn real life.
