I'm listening to Linkin Park's new album, A Thousand Suns...

It's... different, I mean, there's 15 tracks, 5 of which are just fillers, I mean seriously, is it worth naming 18 seconds of nothing and putting it on an album?

But the songs that are actually songs, are pretty decent actually, although I'm a little disappointed that none of them come near the quality of The Catalyst...

I'm listening to the Battle Theme of Persona 4, my god, is it catchy. I really wish I had a chance to play this game ._.

And half way through this post, I hit Shuffle and got "Dying in your Arms" by Trivium. One of my favourite songs.

Listened through a few times the post-apocalyptic urban techno soundscape that is the new Linkin Park album. I'm sure the Hybrid Theory / Meteora fans are up in arms, but I am finding myself really appreciating the album as a whole. The whole is definitely much more than the sum of its parts. I'll admit, I was slightly disappointed to hear real drums in only a couple of spots on two tracks total, but I have way too much respect for the band to get bent out of shape over it.

A lot of bands tend to change sounds as they either mature, or become less capable of performing like they have previously. But Chester still throws screams in here and there, and if anyone ever had a sneaking suspicion that he can't sing like he used to, their closing track is this little acoustic bit:
