Your problem is that you have been watching poorly ported anime made for kids under 11.  Some better animes I've seen are Full Metal Alchemist, Ergo Proxy, Chrono Crusade, the Twelve Kingdoms, and Last Exile.

most anime sucks. the best anime that you can probably watch is haruhi but it's still VERY ANIME but it does it in a way that parodies most anime and stuff.

i agree with justice though. if you want to watch somehting animated and GOOD then i'd suggest Batman the Animated series or more recently Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. All of  Bruce Timm's DC stuff is incrediyl high-quality both in writing and in art.

i've been watching Soul Eater. It has a lot of regrettably J-Pop moments, but the animation is BEAUTIFUL and the art is less run-of-the-mill, more stylish.

I noticed you haven't seen FLCL. Watch that. Only anime I'd ever recommend across the board to everyone.

For western shit, check out Chowder and The MisAdventures of FlapJack on Cartoon Network, those are EXCELLENT younger-audience shows. Best (new)western cartoons running right now IMO.

the only good anime is flcl. bebop and elfen lied are pretty solid too. gantz is ok but is a really shitty adaptation of the manga.

You have to understand like every episode to get it, or you are just killing time by watching it.

I learned the hard way Its a great show though every so often.

the characters are so relateable and lelouch is super sugoi~

on a more serious note, FLCL would be right up your alley. it's got the "OMFGSORANDONxD" humor for the 'ittle chilluns, and a more serious, almost sophisticated story beyond the surface.

And if you like anime for what it is, and not because you're a twatty prepubescent japfag, you should definitely look into some of the more serious western cartoons. Like despain said, Batman the Animated Series is great(best cartoon ever imo), as is the JLA(not unlimited though).

but then again, you're like twelve and so your tastes are dull, unrefined and incapable of understanding the TRUE BEAUTY OF THE ARTFROM THAT IS ANIME

Code Geass is good if all your after is pure entertainment though. Just don't try to think too much (especially during season 2), and just have a good time.

noooooo. it wasnt cancelled at all. it's a continuation of the same series. it's a sequel series. GL didn't go anywhere (he just got a haircut) and they added a bunch of other characters from the DC universe but they did it in a way that it worked and didn't feel too cluttered or anything. the transition between JL and JLU was really good.

JLU was awesome also they had a whole episode of JLU that was pretty much the SERIES FINALE for Batman Beyond because they never got the chance to do the proper Batman Beyond ending so they were like "ok fuck it" and just made it anyway and aired it as an episode of JLU it was so fucking cool.
