Thread Ownership
1.) Define your Post Well
If you are posting a request or looking for help, then please say so in the topic title.
2.) About Advertisement
Posting on here looking for people to join your forum or what-have-you is not allowed, and will get you a warning as well as the link removed. Keep advertisements of this kind to your signatures, please.
What is or is not Advertising?
Advertising
"Hey, guys, I just started up a roleplay group on this super special awesome forum, but we're still looking for members! Come join, oh, and lemme know if you like how the forum looks too, please."
Not Advertising
"Hey, I just put together a new website. Can I get some thoughts on it; you know, do the graphics and format look okay in different browsers, is it easy to navigate, that kind of thing."
Addendum: If you are advertising an actual web site of your own, with a significant amount of content, it will be allowed in this forum. Whether or not your site is acceptable will be up to the moderating team's discretion.
3.) Do not Link to Websites Promoting Illegal Activity
If your website allows the download of things that you would normally have to pay for, use some common sense and don't link us to it, okay?
Posting Constructively
1.) Do not Spam "Empty" Feedback
Saying something to the effect of, "That looks wrong, but I can't help you," is a waste of forum space. Please tell a person why something looks wrong, even if you're not entirely sure what it is. A response like, "I'm not sure what's wrong, but maybe some of the pictures are off." is much more helpful.
Other posts that are considered empty feedback would be, "good format", "this is bad", "I don't like it", ect.
2.) Do not Beat a Dead Horse
If you see several posts informing a topic creator of how horrible their format is, or if their coding need work, or anything else that's been mentioned several times, there's no need for you to make yet another post stating as much. The topic owner can read; there's no need to pelt them with spam.
