Oh, forgot to mention: deepen the shading on the face under the hair. Don't be afraid to go darker with skintones. It'll make the hair stand out less against the skin.
I usually line the front view and side-views together so I can get features in the right position.
the top bang in the front looks like it tucks behind the ear and has a few stands of hair sticking out. But in the side the the Top bang looks smaller and looks like it goes under a strand of hair that I don't even see in the front view.
