Most Nintendo fans should know about Wario Land: Shake It! For the Wii. Yesterday I found this awesome vid on youtube (you'll see why it is so awesome)
Here is the vid: clicky
If you want to watch other trailers look here: clicky
If you like it then buy it! It's already released!

Actually I have this queued to be coming to me with GameFly right now :D

(GameFly is the service like NetFlicks, where you rent games through the mail. It's actually really good & efficient. For someone who plays 2-5 games per month, it's nice to only spend $20/mo [2 game plan, 1 game plan is $13/mo] on them, and keep them however long I like.)

The Wario Land series never had much in the way of multiplayer, but since this is the Wii I think it's safe to assume that they'll at least pull a Sonic and the Secret Rings and knock some games off of Mario Party.

The game itself looks pretty sweet; I guess, though, as with all Wii games, it'll be a question of whether or not the Wiimote stuff will be fun or repetitive. I've liked the Warioland series for a long time, though, and so a sequel is definitely in order.

The video itself is incredibly awesome. I was getting a little weirded out when things started flying out of the video window, and the overall effect is definitely a sweet one.

I totally started laughing hysterically when I realized what the hell was going on.  What an awesome way to advertise.

i thought something was weird when a giant portion of the screen was removed by flashblock, then i clicked it to get a normal-looking youtube page. :0

that was cool tho.

ok i have been playing it now ;o

the cartoony style up close is very reminiscent of early saturday morning cartoons, plus pokemon-styled anime. it's extremely cute, but I'll admit, it's very strange that the characters don't talk. They just emote, and subtitles appear. But all Mario/Wario/whatever games are like that anyway :P

It's in 480i so everything looks crisp and sharp on my HDTV, but though it supports widescreen, it looks like it wasn't initially designed for it, since the right and left margins are taken up by little menu reminders of what you've collected thus far.

It's VERY easy so far. Haven't died once. And in the first 3 levels I never lost a bit of life. Though I only just completed the first world so I assume it'll be harder from here on out.

There's a little thing where you make it to the end of the level, let out an elf buddy, then you have a set time limit to hoof it back to the start of the level, or else you lose all your treasure. It gets a little crazy, because after that happens a lot of avenues open up to collect treasure that you couldn't get to before.

So far, I like it. Shaking everything kinda wears out my elbow, but luckily you don't really have to shake it very hard.

The art style is VERY endearing, especially the sequences where Wario shakes his bacon @ the camera :P

There've been a number of things so far that uses Wario's various moves in interesting ways. And the first boss looks pretty cool.

Of course, there's VERY little story, and what little there is, is extremely hackneyed and laid out for you in the first 5 minutes. But it's still adorable and simple storylines are always more than acceptable for fun little platformers :)

i understand the wario land formula. wario is my favorite nintendo character, and i'll never hate the weird games they make for him... but they really need to try him out in 3D. And not in smash bros. :{

i like 2D as much as the next guy, but 2D platformers are handheld material now-a-days. it's just weird seeing something like this on a console. :\

They already made a 3D Wario Game for the Gamecube, called Wario World. I haven't heard much about it, so I'm assuming it didn't sell very well. It stuck to Wario Land 4's theme of finding lots and lots of hidden stuff, and it was cool because it was Wario in 3D, but I found it really short.

Also, they abused Wario's two grappling moves to no end. :P
