Wait for move's completion trouble!

The "Wait for Move's Completion" command is not working! I'm trying to make it so that text does not show until the NPC has completed its move path, pretty basic.

1) I've tried putting it before and after the move event.
2) The NPC just stops movement and the text starts, not waiting for move completion at all.

*Note: I am using ccoa's UMS in the game! (in case it has anything to do with it)

Please help! How can I fix this (without using the "Wait" command)
 
It's possible that your event is trying to move into a space that's blocked for some reason; the easiest way to debug this is to set the event to "Through," and see what happens. 

Although that's just a guess-- normally, I'd expect the entire thing to freeze, unless you had "Ignore if can't move" checked.
