[VX] Vehicule opacity/visibility [RESOLVED]

I'd like to have the boat go under the various bridges. For that, I place an event that does the right thing... nearly...
The only problem is that the boat seems to walk upon the bridge, not go under. To change that, I traied to change the opacity of the character in the "move event" command; but it doesn't seems to work for vehicules.
I also tried to use the "invisible mode ON/OFF" sub-command of the "move event"; and even the "hero transparency/invisiblity" command. But in this case, the picture of the vehicule is replaced by the hero's one; and I have to replace it with the apropriate picture => many tests (could be any vehicule) => inelegant.

Needless to say, the best effect should be an opacity around 100. Any solution to apply it to a vehicule ??

Just create the event with events, and choose the priority to be above character. if you later want them to be passable, you should use a bridge creating tutorial which I don't have time to make right now.

also: FINALLY I GOT SOMEONE'S ANSWER FIRST! (everybody always answer before I do =(  )
 
Since I couldn't find a tutorial to link ya to, I'll give you the shorter version.
Make two event pages. Both with bridge graphics. Both with through marked. one below character and one above character.
First page lets say, has the below character effect. all good when character crosses the bridge on foot. When the character is about to come with the boat, put a triggered by touch event that'll trigger a switch that'll make the second bridge event page pop up.  put the same thing when character is about to cross it on foot, turn witch off.

In fact, one of the solutions I imagined was to move the boat 2 tiles ahead as soon as it touches the bridge. The opacity modification is supposed to give a "under the bridge" effect.

Technically, the bridge is under the hero, passable, and tests direction from which comes the actors befor moving it 2 square in phantom state.

But the solution of "lower/higher" event seems also appealing. I just have to figure how to make it work properly.

Err... pleasel don't forget a transluscent vehicule could still be a goiid thing to use from time to time  :smile:

Thanks to Dargor, I got an answer (and a very elegant one  :smile: ) for the opacity question.

Now for the bridge ... The dual page event is a good aidea. Alas, an 'under hero' crossable event still doesn't make the underlying water tile crossable by foot  :cry:


But such a subjerct would require a full thread on its own. So let's say this one is over.
