[VX] 'Same as Character' events cannot walk over 'below character' events

I'm sure most of you, if not all, have noticed this.  Pretty much my question is how do 'Same as Character' events walk over 'below character' events without a through involved?

This cannot be evented good enough to be efficient, and the only ideas I've come up with scripting this either involve a through or some type of impossible over-calculation.

Can anyone think up a simple solution?

(Maybe something like "$Game_Character.COLLIDE_WITH_CHARACTERS fix : if priority of event == (0 or below character) something.passable?  #I'm still new to ruby so I'm unsure how to do this or anything alike. :| )

I did ask for a way without a through.  -_-

I guess I'll be more specific on the situation...  In my ABS, after killing an enemy an item drops that is below characters.  If the item were through, I wouldn't be able to pick it up on touch.  That ends up looking stupid when the enemy cannot walk over/around it.

Thanks for trying though.  ^_^ (although that solution didn't take long to come up with)

But if it's off, how will anything be different. >,>

Nevermind, I see I once again was too specific... After one enemy dies, and an item is left behind, if another enemy comes by it will not be able to evade/pass over the dropped item.

When I said 'simple solution', I meant something not involving remembering variable coordinates for every item/enemy.  If this did not involve, or if I did not think it would involve, scripting I wouldn't have posted it here... Thanks anyways for trying Wora.  :/

EDIT:  I have given up on this request because I now believe it is impossible after reading some more stuff.  I'll have to either do it the hard way or not at all.  :(
