VX question

No, I don't have VX yet (I will in a few months, probably), but I wanted to ask something about it.
When playing in fullscreen mode, you always get that huge black border around the actual playing field? The playing field doesn't look that big at all from all the VX screenshots I've seen.
Is there any way to get rid of the black border? Or maybe put a picture on it instead? Or is that hard-coded in the engine itself and non-editable?

you can just script a new resolution, I think there are a few scripts around...
if you put 640x480, then you won't have any black border, you'll probably have to set the windows positions and everything again though...
I don't really mind the black border, it's like playing a SNES or GBA game on an emulator.(at least the way I play them)

Well I don't see a problem with it, either, but it might be nice to put a cool border or something on there in place of the pure black border. I was just wondering if it was possible.
So when you set the resolution using a script, it permanently changes the user's computer resolution even after they exit the game?

No, you see, when RMVX is in full screen, the resolution of your pc, changes to 640x480, and there's a black border around the screen to have it only show 544x416.
If you change it to 640x480 with the script, when you use fullscreen, your pc will change to 640x480 as normal, but there wil be no black border.
And when you exit fullscreen, it changes back to your regular screen resolution.(with or without script)
