@Daxisheart :
I'm glad you're interested in the game! The plot may seem simple at first, but I promise the deeper you get into the story the more interesting everything seems. Some of the typical RPG conventions are used, certainly, but I try as best I can to add my own original and intricate spin on them. Thanks for the compliments!
@berserk515 :
It's great that you like(d) Prophecy... and as SolstICE said, that's all Ruruga's artworks. Amazing face graphics, they are!
@Passenger :
Is the link still not working? If it isn't, I'll try to upload it someplace else for you... Haven't had anyone else with that problem, I don't think.
@SolstICE :
I thought the two different battle systems would add some variety to the gameplay, in addition to the numerous event systems I implemented. Hopefully it worked!
@Sniper :
The name "Juno" is not tied to a gender, it can be used for males or females. If not for the Roman goddess, I think the name itself would sound masculine to most people. And to me, it fits his character... Anyway, I'm glad you're interested!
@UltiHaker :
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you here, but I believe you already recieved help (both here and over at RRR) and you made it past the point where you were stuck. I'm really happy you enjoyed the game! Oh, and there's an checkbox to encrypt your archives when you compress a game file in VX. If you have any more questions like this in the future, Prophecy does have a website (the URL is now included in the top post).
@Mr_Smith :
To be honest I sort of like the effect when the fire glow stays on the screen after a fadeout.. Hah, that's why I haven't done much to remedy the issue. Other than that, thanks for the compliments (especially about the mapping)!
@Diedrupo :
Did you get a chance to download the game? I'd love to hear what you think/thought of it.
@Sozerius :
Glad you liked it. I've been getting very mixed opinions when it comes to the mapping... I'm trying to take it all into consideration but it's been difficult to say the least! The "house without doors" issue is something that I don't much like doing, but I think it's just too much to ask a lone designer to have every single building accessible, especially in some of the larger towns...
Not sure what the issue is about the game crashing... I'm no scripter, unfortunately. I know one or two other people had a problem with this at different points throughout the game, but as of yet I don't know what is causing it. Sorry, and I hope you continue to follow PTDK regardless...
@tofuturkey :
Did you ever get past the part where you were stuck? If not, head into the storeroom as Juno and put on the Guard Uniform just as you did with Motley. Not being able to heal isn't even an issue, as you actually don't have to fight a single battle. As for the rest of your looong post, I really really really appreciate you taking the time to write all that out just for the sake of giving me feedback. I've read it over several times and changed quite a few of the things you suggested, but at the moment I don't have the time to respond to all of your thoughts in this post. I promise I will get to it as soon as I can... And once again, I really do appreciate it!!
@Xephyr :
Thanks so much for your compliments, and I'm very glad you enjoyed Chapter One!
@Amos38 :
You seemed to like most of the aspects of the game, so I'm happy about that. I am definitely planning on working harder to make the Tactical Battle System more fun to play in future chapters. It was more of a huge experiment than anything, to be honest...
The characters and plot will definitely continue to get more and more deep and interesting, that's something I can pretty much guarantee. So stay tuned for that!
Glad you liked Mixology, and there are actually eight Empty Bottles you can in Chapter One get if you find them all. If you're having trouble finding them, I wrote up an extensive "secrets guide" over at Prophecy's official forums.
I've already incorporated a scripted stealth system into the beginnings of Chapter Two, so future sneaking sequences will be sharper.
Best project you've seen here -- thanks so much!! I'll have to give yours a shot... Oh, and by the way, Klotho is my favorite character too.
@:: TaG :: :
There's for helping out UltiHaker with that great tip! I'm pretty sure he got past that part successfully. And I'm really glad you enjoyed the game so much! Fantastic is a word I like!
@astrin24 :
It's great you enjoyed what you've played so far. Take Amos' advice: go around to the right side of the tavern, and hit the action button. Let me know if you have any more questions, and I hope you like the rest of the 3-4 hours of Chapter One! It'd be awesome to hear more of your thoughts.
@Avgen :
You don't have to fight the guards! While they're facing the other way (and you're hiding in the closet) run to their water on the table and poison it, before hurrying back to your hiding place. Good luck, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I hope you enjoy the rest of the game!
