VX image problem!

For most of my images, when I go to import them, there is no 'transparent' option and just imports it instantly. Im guessing it's because I did not format them right or something...

So can someone seperate these?

No, I need the transparency because the background is green. If I make the background white then theres a white boarder surrounding it.. I need to make it blank.

EDIT: Figured it out.

For some reason, the program won't recognize when something needs the transparency to be set.  Here's some things you could try:

  • Try importing it a few times.  Sometimes, this will work, and I'm not sure why it doesn't recognize it the first time.
  • Try changing the file name and importing it like that.
  • If all else fails, you can download a program that can set transparencies.  I recommend Paint.net.

If you use Paint.net...
Go into the color window (if you don't see it, click on Window>Colors) and click on the "More>>" button.  Go down to the bottom right, where it says "Transparency - Alpha" and set the value to 0.  Click on the fill bucket now.  Click on right-most option on the fill bucket options bar (the two boxes).  Then, move the "Tolerance" slider to 0% and click on the green background to make the background transparent.  Then, use "Save As..." and save it in the folder Game>Graphics>Characters.

Edit: You figured it out by the time I finished typing.
