[VX] Battle within a Battle

My goal is to have a battle, after a few turns you get thrown into another battle, this time with something much worse, and then, a transtion playes before you die like your going into battle again, only you will be teleported to a map location, so:

Weak Battle (~2 Turns) // Battle Warp Effect // Strong Battle (Player Almost Dead) // Battle Warp Effect // Warp to map

I may need a script to make it work the way I have it pictured in my mind, but I wanted first to try to make it in events. My problem is, many events don't seem to work in the battle, it may be the case that the "Battle Events" are the only events that work in battle. But I was hoping this was wrong, however, I'm having no luck.

Any insite? Ideas? Suggestions?
 
I'm not sure I get what you're saying.

Do you want the player to go into a battle when you're INSIDE a battle? Can't you just end the battle, then do the event commands on the map? And if you're having trouble, there's always Common Events, they work somewhat better than Troop events.

Unfortunately, I'm not that good with it yet, so I can't provide a solution. Hopefully an extra explanation will help.
Let me try to reiterate it.

-Imagine you're fighting a baby dragon (This is the weak battle he's talking about).
-Then the mommy dragon shows up after a few turns (This is where it'd transition to the stronger battle).
-Mommy dragon totally owns everyone in the party, and just as they're about to die (collective hp past a certain %), they black out or something (This is where it's show another battle transition, but instead of another battle, they'd show up in an inn).

This is all an example and not what he's exactly trying to do, but I was just trying to simplify it for those who didn't understand.

Ok here's how I think you can do it. Create the troop and then add all the monsters that will eventually be in the fight. I hope you don't mind me using tallredheadkid's description. So right click the mommy dragon and select appear halfway. At the start of the fight for this troop right now you will only ever see the baby dragon. Now go to the event page for this troop. Make the Condition 2 turns. Then set the Span to Battle. As the first command show some text announcing the mommy dragon. Possibly add another command like Show Battle Animation. Then add the event command Monster Appear and select mommy dragon. Now go to the event that brought about this fight. I hope you checked continue if lose. And then you move, heal your party, and all sorts of junk. Just make sure you have a special mommy dragon enemy that kills your party in one turn. You can add another event page that checks to see if the party is almost dead and then do things as well. I hope this helps.
