Visual armor via eventing is stumping me!

It's not as simple as, 'I don't know how to make a visual armor' event, which I do, and I've been using this type of event for awhile. Its just that, I came across an armor that absolutely REFUSES to appear on the character, and I've checked everything... I'm just confused. So first off, I created the following armor event. I have all my armor events right under the same common event, and I called one of these common events on each of my maps. Now... the offending event is the top one, and compare that to the bottom one, which is one of the working events, looks about the same, right?

Here is how it works: the first change actor graphic is the sprite with the armor, and the second change actor graphic is the sprite minus the armor. I have done everything in my mind I could possibly think of, from moving the armored sprite graphic to a different place on the spritesheet from where it originally was to changing the armor to a different number slot in the armor database. Nothing works! The armor does not appear on the character, no matter how many things I try. So I turn to you guys, help!

Are you using the catapillar script? If so, there is no way as I know to change the graphic of the players following you.

Too bad.

Actually, I am using a catepillar script, and the other characters I use the visual armor on, the armor appears just fine... huh.

Does anyone have any clues as to what could possibly cause this? I dunno, just ideas maybe? I'd only want to provide a demo as a last resort, for personal reasons.

Maybe the caterpillar script is causing problems for certain characters. I have personally never used the script, though by looking at the events, there is nothing wrong unless you are using the wrong armor or wrong actors.

I hardly ever use VX, either, but the problem cannot lie in the event unless the armor and the actors are wrong as mentioned earlier. It has to lie somewhere else.
