Vista Problem. RPG XP worked for about 3 months. Don't now

At the beginning of this past summer, I downloaded RPG Maker XP for my laptop. I'm running Windows Vista, unfortunately... At the end of the summer, I attempted to open the RPG XP program, but to no avail. I have a game I worked on everyday, nearly all day, during the summer which I can no longer access on my computer. If someone could help me, I would be forever grateful!

Here's some problem specifics:

1. Click on RPG Maker XP icon ==> "RPG Maker XP has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution." ...Yeah right...

2. Click on my game's icon ==> "RGSS player has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution." ... Hmm...

3. Uninstalled it completely. Reinstalled it and reloaded RTP Standard. ==> Same errors. ...Waste of time...

4. Checked to see if RPG Maker 2003 and VX had the same problem. ==> No, they do not. ...Figures...

So, here's my question:

"Is there anything I can do to fix this problem, other than smash my computer or switch to Windows XP?"

If you've had the same problem or know someone who has and have been able to correct it, please, .... PLEASE, let me know. If there is already a post like this, I'm sorry for posting this one. I've searched for an hour, but didn't see anyone having my same problem. If there is another post like this, please send me a link to it.

Thank you for your time!

Also, I've turned off all my anti-virus and such software. Still, the program will not open.

Also, I've set all the RPG Maker XP exe files to "XP Compatible". Still, the program will not open.

Also, I made sure my resolution met the requirements as well as all my other settings. Still, nothing.

Hopefully, this information will help reduce the number of posts consisting of advice I've already attempted. Thank you, once more!

"Do you have the RGSS102E.dll?

Is vista's data Execution prevention on? If it is put the Game.exe on the exception list and check the box."

Yes, I have the RGSS102E.dll.

I just now changed the execution prevention setting, and am about to restart my computer. I will update this post once it's done. Thank you for your reply!
