Video Game Music! Tell Me What You Think.

thats some really interesting stuff. there's so much creativity in these, i don't even know what to say first. i really really love how you kept changing the drums up in bebop. it went from these tinny beatbox drums, to dry kinda acoustic, to big, deep, and reverberated. also the sweep into the first instrument solo-ish part was awesome. the other instruments you used were really interesting - especially how they went so well together for such different sounds they're typically used for.

electrode luts - right off the bat, this reminds me of a really raw, genuine GOA sound. once everything lse kidked in it reminded me a lot of some nommos-esque darkpsytrance. the scratching was AWESOME. i don't know how you did it, but that was the highest point of an otherwise awesome track. theres some really interesting percussive elements here too.. really this is outstanding. you have a real knack for this.

globe flow reminds me of something you might hear an alternative, or even avant garde rapper on. it's got a great industrial feel which people usually can't pull off without big BOOOOOMing generic factory sounds, and clicks and whatnot.

offa cliff - by this time, i'm loving your inventive percussive elements. the percussion and drums in your tracks is anything but generic, or average, you are really good at making cool, interesting drum patterns. an interesting mix with the still kinda industrial sound mixing with some native-american-ish flutes and wind instruments - it kinda gave a bit of a gloomy/eerie feeling without pervasive use of WAAAY-TOO-MINOR tonality. this was a really neat chill beat, i think i actually liked this one the most.

salt lick... this totally sounds like something off a haltya album (suomi trance - the weirdest electronic music ever). from the bouncy, gloopy-sounding beet to the snappy shooping bass (which should contradict each other, but that bass is definitely both snappy and shooping).. a bit brief. the length of the other short beats worked, but i would have liked to hear this one pick up a bit, and perhaps even evolve a little. its a wonderful base for a track, but it sounds unfinished.

you got talent, man. make moar. :}

Putting up one I just made today and yesterday.

In Globe Flow, if you've ever played a game called Forsaken that bass beat will sound VERY familiar. I loved the tracks on that game. I based some of the percussion on that and the bass is almost replica...

In Salt Lick I got a little off with some of the later elements so I just cut them and moved on...

I'm thinking about using Offa Cliff as the Title theme for my game.

More feedback would be awesome.

Lol so deliciously retro sounding.

I love some of your composition in these pieces. If I had to give any critique, it's that sometimes they end up being a little repetitive, or they sometimes go off tempo.

Try a bit more tune variance or adding things like climaxes, buildups and refrains.

Other than that, great stuff.

Salt Lick and Weird Counterpoint are amazing! Don't get me wrong, every song you hosted on that site is great, but these two tracks really stand out to me. I can imagine Salt Lick being right at home in FFX-2 actually... it has the same techno-grimy style. Really impressive work man.

Thanks. Its been awhile since I've been around, so sorry if I haven't posted back.
Thanks for the support Silver, it much appreciated. I got allot of my ideas from old 8 and 16 bit video game sounds.

And I use a combination of FruityLoops and Audacity.
