I have a question about video editing software. whats the best free video editing software? and if those all suck then whats a good cheap editing software?

Look at Adobe Premiere Elements, all the free alternatives are craps... at least as far as I know. Premiere Elements is only about $50.

PrinceXP, SnagIt is not a video editor. It's a screen recorder/capture.

Cyber, there's Ubuntu Studio for Ubuntu Linux. As djza said, You'll want to get Adobe Premiere , since the only free editors only support video that has already been captured.
