Hey guys. Sorry I've been away so long. I moved back home and still haven't got my desktop set up yet. (The family set up a Christmas tree where it used to go.... Sigh... lol) And my laptop can't get the wireless here for some strange reason.
Anyway.Â
Silver - Thank you very much for the compliments. I've never taken any classes other than one year of art in high school. I liked it alright, but I hated drawing what everyone told me to and not having any creative freedom, so I didn't do all that well. Anyway, that's beside the point. I am definitely going to try that technique. I drew another angel yesterday, but haven't been able to post it yet. I also drew a very dragonball Z/street fighter styled character too, but my grandmother unplugged the cords to the christmas lights, which ultimately killed my laptop within five minutes... dun dun dun. So it's gone. But I've been working on the human form a bit more. And I've decided that the anime isn't much of my thing, obviously. So I'm going to try to stick to more realistic, with the very simple and cartoony shading. I liked doing that the best anyway.Â
DJ - Thanks for the suggestions. I love the style that some of them were drawn in. Especially the first two. I need to work on my anime faces if I do decide to do another piece. I appreciate the help.
And finally, Peri - Today I'm on my grandparents computer, borrowing their internet connection until I can get my XPS set up again. And I realized that on their monitor, all of the drawings look completely stretched out and very.... strange. My laptop has a bit of a widescreen on it and I think somehow I lost my ratio that way. Then again, after typing that I feel stupid because I realized that my grandparents most likely have the screen res set to the wrong settings due to lack of computer knowledge.
If you mean that I drew the girl (Ninja angel girl, who I've named The Survivor, for lack of a better title) out of proportion, or too lanky, then I'll look into it a little more on the next one.
I'm currently working on a children's book requested by a good friend, who promises me a decent income if it's done well enough, which means that I won't be sketching TOO much fun stuff for a little while... It's a history book, meaning that there will be no dungeons or dragons for the moment... (Everyone "awe" with me.)Â However;Â when I get to it tomorrow, I'll post the latest of my pictures, which I definitely don't like as much as I like the last one.
Thanks for the comments. I'm sorry for such a long post, and terribly sorry that I'm not posting any new artwork at this time. Soon though, I promise!
